Halter Bandeau Bikini

Monday, November 29th, 2010

Every woman’s bikini assortment should include some variety and that doesn’t have to mean in just colors. There are some unique bikini top and bottom styles now being designed that help you to stand out in the crowd. If you’re tired to wearing triangle and halter tops, there’s the halter bandeau to consider. While the bandeau is usually a strapless style, this alternative adds a halter strap to allow for support in the top. I like that the centers of these tops allow for some creative detail like a keyhole or other delicate design.

The bandeau certainly isn’t a new and groundbreaking bikini style, but it is one that gaining popularity.  Recently, more designers are adding the strapless top to their collections and women seem to be snatching them up.  It might be because of the classic look or retro nature, or it might be that women like to avoid having tan lines on their necks and shoulders, but whatever the reason, the bandeau definitely making a comeback.  Because of its strapless nature, however, there’s just no support offered in this top and is thus best reserved for women with smaller chests.

V-Wire Bandeau Bikini

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Yay for new styles!  The v-wire bandeau is one of the new styles that’s arrived in the world of swimwear and this new take on the regular bandeau seems to be becoming pretty popular.  This top is designed with a v-shaped underwire in the center that helps to lift and separate.  The hidden hardware certainly looks like its helping the top avoid the sagging shape that usually comes with a bandeau top of this style.  Of course, the only way to know for certain is to try one on for yourself and come to your own conclusion!

PS: I love the design and color of this suit!

Stripes!

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

I’ve been looking for something new and colorful so when I saw this bandeau bikini I thought it was too perfect!  I love that the bandeau has the optional halter strap because usually with this style I hate having to keep tugging at it to make sure it stays up.  I love the stripe design on it too – how cute is the twisting effect?!  Kind of reminds me of an infinity symbol.  I like the string bikini bottoms too – they add a just a bit of flirty flair to the suit.  It’s definitely a very girly bikini and not a look I’d want to rock to every beach excursion but every once in a while I think it’s a fun option to have.

The Shoulder Bandeau

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

The one shoulder style has been a popular trend in fashion, so it’s not surprising that this single strap style has found its way into the world of swimwear.  A new twist to the classic strapless bandeau style, this one shoulder suit could prove to be popular for women with larger chests, because unless you have gravity-defying assets, it’s pretty much impossible to wear a strapless style comfortably and confidently.   You’re tugging at it, checking if it’s still on properly.  And forget about trying to run after the ball.  So could this new bandeau style be the answer?  Can you really have both style and support?  Or just a weird tan line?
